School of Industry Chemnitz

Orientation with tradition

The Industrieschule in Chemnitz is not only known for its heritage-listed architecture: formerly the largest vocational school in Germany, it is closely linked to the industrial past of the city. Partly destroyed in the Second World War, it was rebuilt and extended. Today it still prepares numerous young people for careers in technical professions. With stencil-like letters, the signage in the added buildings with classrooms, cafeteria and sports hall incorporate the technical tradition of the school and guide the students through their school day with a familiar visual language. The striking, large-format lettering certainly enhances the enjoyment of sports lessons.
