Close, closer, Humboldt Forum

A signage system that opens doors, renders tangible and encounters visitors on its own communicative level. Welcome to the Humboldt Forum in Berlin! Confident and independent, the signage stands out from the architecture on the historicized, reconstructed building and becomes the element that links the site and those that visit it. Suspended signs and free-standing information panels lead through museums and to event venues. In distinctive black and radiant white they underscore the open character of the site – contrasting with the outwardly closed effect. The digital signage supplements the system with the addition of current information and references to events. Read more about our concept in an essay from Barbara Holzer and Nathanaël Gourdin.

In co-operation with Holzer Kobler Architekturen.
